Hey! It's Porsha making a post! I really like this topic on Environment Conditions because it is an aspect that no one would automatically think of right away when thinking of Atlantic Station. I would think of shopping, food, and more shopping. I noticed that there are many trash cans to help maintain the squeaky clean image. Also there is never really any random people just sitting on the sides loitering. It is like Atlantic Station is on a 24hr go green rush.
ReplyDeleteThis post truly conveys the lasting message that Atlantic Station is a space that is "all-in-one." Consumers have no reason to escape from Atlantic Station because hunger, shopping, and even grocery needs can be met in this environment.
ReplyDeleteIn addition, the post also introduced me to an analysis that I have never considered before: Atlantic Station is highly exclusive. It is dedicated to a consumer that is middle to upper class. In fact, everything from the type of restaurants located in the vicinity to the rules about loitering on benches caters to a specific group of people.
Though Atlantic Station is "all-in-one," the way in which the laws and the environment is constructed suggests that this convenient space is not for all. In other words, Atlantic Station has everything, but is not for everyone.
